This workshop will introduce participants to the Collaborative Educational Planning Process (CEPP), a structured, two-part approach designed to strengthen IEP development for students with complex communication and educational needs. CEPP begins with a person-centered planning approach that brings together students, families, and school teams to build a shared vision. It then transitions into a focused IEP meeting where that vision is translated into aligned, meaningful, and measurable goals.
CEPP prioritizes authentic collaboration, ensuring that students and families engage as long-term partners in the student’s journey. Through real examples, a facilitator’s guide, and ready-to-use materials, participants will leave prepared to lead this process within their own schools or districts. This workshop is ideal for professionals seeking to strengthen collaborative teaming practices, improving alignment between student vision and IEP goals, and create more cohesive, effective planning processes across teams.

- Engage with materials, templates, and tools that correspond to each part of the process — including both the person-centered planning and aligned IEP development meetings.
