PROFESSIONAL LEARNING
Workshops & Webinars
Program Description
VT-HEC designs live workshops and webinars in response to the ever-changing needs of K-12 educators. Our participants engage with timely content delivered by experts who interact with participants and answer questions in the moment. Dialogue is an important and valuable part of these offerings, as is the chance to engage in small-group work with and learn from colleagues from across Vermont and beyond.
Participants grow their content understanding, participate in collegial discussions, practice with implementation, and reflect on possible changes in their practice. Folks who attend live workshops often feel moved to bring their new learning to their home districts.
Flexible and Accessible
We offer full-day, in-person and virtual events, as well as partial-day webinars. Many of our in-person events include a hybrid option that allows remote participation. All virtual events are recorded, and registered participants can access the recording for 30 days following each event. This practice allows VT-HEC to meet the accessibility, scheduling, and staffing demands that educators face.
We also provide onsite consultation, coaching, and professional learning to meet the specific needs of your school, district, or supervisory union.
Workshops and webinars provide continuing education hours in many areas, including:
- Special Education
- Early Childhood
- Health
- Neurodiversity and Inclusion
- Work-Based Learning
- Social, Emotional, Behavioral Learning
- Executive Functioning
- Trauma
- Literacy
- And other topics as need arises
