Relevant Topics for Special Educators: Supervising Paraprofessionals

Jen Patenaude, MA

Paraprofessionals are often the key to ensuring consistent, meaningful access to universal instruction. The information presented in this recording will focus on clarifying the roles and responsibilities of a paraprofessional and the systems that support them. Viewers will work through case studies of challenging situations that arise when supervising support staff, as well as learn ways to foster positive and productive collaboration. Recommendations for tools and resources that support supervision will also be shared.
