Have you ever felt like you’re facing impossible expectations at work?
Join us, Gillian Boudreau and Joelle van Lent, as we navigate this complex landscape in our podcast, “A Stance of Curiosity.” Together we examine how the evolving complexities of school communities intersect with the unrealistic demands placed on educators.
Throughout our discussions, we underscore the importance of connection and co-regulation among colleagues to combat the fear and inadequacy that often accompany high-pressure environments. We also share personal anecdotes and practical strategies that highlight the effectiveness of curiosity in emotional regulation. In addition, we emphasize the need for understanding motivations behind behaviors to foster a resilient community.
Our conversation doesn’t shy away from the intense pressure and feelings of shame that can permeate school systems. We delve into real-life scenarios, where navigating misunderstandings with curiosity can open paths to meaningful communication and problem-solving.
With stories of how educators have successfully handled challenging situations with empathy and insight, we highlight the critical role curiosity plays in creating an environment that encourages self-awareness and constructive dialogue. Finally, we wrap up with an optimistic outlook, expressing our hope for future discussions that continue to challenge and inspire our listeners.
