This workshop will equip educators with the knowledge and tools to navigate the evolving role of artificial intelligence (AI) in education while maintaining rigor and integrity in student learning. Participants will build foundational understanding of AI and explore practical classroom applications using AI tools. Participants will analyze curriculum for AI vulnerability and redesign assignments to prioritize authentic, process-oriented, higher order learning. Through collaborative examination of real-world examples, participants will also develop strategies to maintain academic integrity without sacrificing content. Finally, the workshop will engage educators in critical conversations about the ethical dimensions of AI, including bias, copyright, and environmental and human impacts, fostering a more informed and responsible approach to its use in schools.

Participants will:
