This interactive workshop equips educators, service providers, and case managers with the skills to develop high-quality, developmentally appropriate IEP goals for preschool-aged children. Participants will learn how to write measurable, relevant, individualized goals aligned with evidence-based practices as well as federal and state regulations.
Through practical strategies and real-life examples, attendees will explore how well-crafted goals support program planning, guide instructional decisions, and drive meaningful progress monitoring. The session also covers systems for tracking and reporting progress, ensuring goals remain relevant and actionable across the span of the year.
Participants will leave this session with the knowledge and tools to:
- Develop developmentally appropriate, measurable IEP goals for preschoolers that meet federal and state requirements and align with best practices.
- Use IEP goals to guide program planning and instructional decision-making in early childhood settings.
- Strengthen collaborative practices among IEP team members—including families, educators, and specialists—to ensure goals are individualized, shared, and supported consistently.
