Cathy Siggins, M.Ed.

Cathy Siggins is the Director of the VT-HEC ECE programs. She was among the first graduates of this program back in 2007, achieving an initial teaching license in Early Childhood Special Education. Cathy then completed her Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction with UVM in 2009. She then taught for many years in Vermont’s early childhood settings in a range of roles, including classroom teacher, program director, and special educator. During this time, she also supported candidates for initial licensure in Early Childhood for VT-HEC and other Vermont organizations, and has been an instructor for the VT-HEC Early Childhood Curriculum Development course since 2017. Cathy is passionate about supporting adults and children to have equitable access to engaging and meaningful learning experiences.
