This course will investigate the sensory components of cognition and communication. Sensory integration is the ability to receive sensory information from internal senses and external inputs, integrate the information, and create an adaptive response to the sensory information. Participants will leave with a foundational understanding of the neurobiological development of sensory processing and the importance of integrating the senses for functional and accessible learning and communication.
