Participants will learn how to weave together play, literacy, STEM, and social-emotional learning (SEL) to design engaging, developmentally appropriate, and rigorous units of inquiry.
Participants will:
- Discover how to guide young learners from initial exploration to deeper investigation, nurturing their natural curiosity and encouraging critical thinking, problem solving, and other STEM skills.
- Learn how to identify and weave together the sparks and interests that arise in your classroom, creating cohesive units that align with early childhood standards and developmental goals. Specific focus will be paid to the NGSS Cross-Cutting Concepts in the early childhood setting.
- Engage in collaborative discussions with fellow educators to share ideas, reflect on your own practices, and receive feedback on your unit plans. Leave with actionable insights and inspiration for your own classroom.
