This series will equip participants to implement and maintain a tiered intervention system for social, emotional, and behavioral learning in classrooms where students face significant related barriers to learning. Participants will explore the tiers of intervention, including assessment methods, differentiation processes within each tier, progress monitoring, and support strategies. Additionally, the series will offer effective collaboration techniques with staff members and parents, providing practical tools to implement the multi-tiered system in your school building.
Participants will:
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of tiered SEL intervention systems, enabling effective implementation tailored to diverse classroom needs.
- Acquire practical skills in assessing and addressing significant social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties within classrooms.
- Develop personalized action plans to initiate and sustain a tiered SEL intervention system, fostering a supportive environment conducive to student well-being and academic success.
- Interpret and utilize current, reliable progress monitoring data to assess intervention effectiveness and inform decisions related to student progress. This will enable participants to better comply with Vermont’s new special education law changes, which require evidence of response to functional skill interventions before determining eligibility.
