Get Ready to Learn

This workshop will focus on simple starter formats to help teach young children how to handle materials, to work on their own, and to support basic organization and foundation skills. Areas covered will be simple and appealing  “put-in/ put-on” materials, matching and sorting, and assembly/ disassembly skills. A system for teaching and incorporating these materials into home play as well as preschool and childcare settings will be offered. Participants will learn about and make 16 different materials that can become templates for a range of similar learning supports.
