VT-HEC Board Commits to Going Green

Board Adopts Environmental Impact Policy

At its meeting on December 12, 2018 the VT-HEC Board of Directors adopted a commitment to minimizing our carbon footprint with the goal of overall carbon neutrality. The statement commits the VT-HEC to assessing the effects program activities have on the environment and to explore, develop and adopt policies and practices to reduce or offset that impact.

The statement commits the VT-HEC to seeking improvements throughout its operations to lessen its impact on the environment by reducing related travel, conserving energy and other natural resources; reducing waste generation; purchasing environmentally preferable products and dealing with vendors that have made similar commitments.

The Vermont Higher Education Collaborative is a non-profit operating since 2000 that offers professional learning opportunities to support educators, service providers, administrators and others who work to benefit Vermont’s children and youth.  Find out more at vthec.org
