SUMMARY:MTSS in Practice: Examining\, Strengthening\, and Sustaining Your System
DESCRIPTION:Date: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPrice: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTeams of 4 or more will receive a 10% discount.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe have decided to cancel this offering while the Vermont Agency of Education revises its MTSS resources. Once the new guidance is available\, VT-HEC looks forward to providing aligned learning opportunities for VT educators. Stay tuned! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn this workshop\, school teams will explore and strengthen implementation of their multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS). They will deepen their understanding of the five Vermont MTSS components and how they function together to support equitable learner outcomes.Participants will examine leadership structures that build shared ownership and sustain MTSS implementation across a school. They will explore how to strengthen layered supports so that instruction and intervention are responsive to the varied academic\, behavioral\, and social–emotional needs of students. Participants will learn strategies for using data to identify student needs\, monitor progress\, and guide instruction. The workshops will also focus on strengthening family and community partnerships to support student success. Finally\, participants will consider how to use evidence-based approaches that increase access\, engagement\, and learning.Grounded in clear outcomes and real school models\, participants will reflect on their current practices while actively applying new learning and exploring practical tools to drive meaningful change. By the end of the series\, participants will identify concrete actions for each MTSS component and develop a practical scope of work to guide implementation in the coming school year. \n\n\n\nParticipants will: \n\n\n\n\nAssess current whole system cohesion and effectiveness.\n\n\n\nExamine collaboration across system layers\, and how Educational Support Teams play a role.\n\n\n\nEvaluate assessment practices to ensure they inform instructional and intervention decisions.\n\n\n\nClarify and coordinate staff roles and responsibilities to support aligned efforts across layers of instruction and intervention.\n\n\n\nAssess staff expertise and system needs in order to map a long term professional learning plan.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGraduate Course OptionCourse participants will use the insights and strategies shared during the July workshop sessions to develop a practical action plan for the school year. They will meet online three times throughout the year to assess progress\, adjust strategies\, and share outcomes to support collaborative learning and growth. \n\n\n\nLearn more and register for 2-Credit Graduate Course \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLearn more about our presenter:\n\n\n\nJen Patenaude
