Additionally\, participants will understand how to foster a student’s ability to develop more independent executive function skills through targeted interventions.  \n\n\n\nParticipants will be able to:  \n\n\n\n\nDevelop strategies to help students follow routines\, manage materials effectively\, and control impulses and emotions for successful self-regulation. \n\n\n\nImplement techniques to support task planning\, task initiation\, smooth transitions within and between tasks\, and the ability to sense the passage of time. \n\n\n\nEnhance students’ situational awareness\, ability to infer possible outcomes\, and carry out routines and tasks within allotted time frames. \n\n\n\nTeach students to develop a “memory for the future” and devise plans to achieve their goals.\n\n\n\n\nSarah Ward will return on March 14\, 2025 with a workshop for educators who work with middle and high school students.
