How People Learn:

Integrating Cognitive Science & Educational Research in Your School & Classroom

                                                  

The conference is designed for school teams and educators eager to root their instructional improvement efforts in what current research says about how people learn. During the institute, renowned brain researcher and presenter, Dr.G, Christian Jernstedt, will provide a framework for designing learning environments based on the latest research on the brain and learning. During the conference working teachers will share their experience applying these findings in their classrooms.

 

Hear the latest research on how the brain learns and its implications for:

·        Diagnosing students’ needs

·        Designing the most effective instruction opportunities

·        Pacing instruction so more students learn and all students learn more

·        Developing and utilizing assessments that help every students learn

·        Utilizing this information to help make schools a success for all students.

The Course - An Opportunity for Extending and Applying Your Learning

 

How People Learn: Designing Brain Compatible Secondary Classrooms

(Cost Conference $395 + Course $855 Total = $1250)

 

This 3-credit course is designed for educators seeking guidance as they redesign elements of their practice based on the design features of optimal learning environments. For those educators enrolled in the course, the June 24 and 25 Institute with Dr, Jernstedt will be the first two days of the course. Much of this course will be completed on-line, but the class will meet two more times, once on July 15 and on a day in August TBD by the class.

 

To Register for the Conference Only:

·        Participants are encouraged to attend as a team. Preference is for the school principal to attend, but teams led by someone in a different leadership role are welcome.
