Wendy Cohen Joins VT-HEC Leadership

We are extremely happy to announce that Wendy Cohen will be joining our leadership team taking the position of Director of Professional Development Programs and Supports as of July 1.  She will be responsible for the planning and delivery of our workshops and related courses and supports.  Wendy has been working with the VT-HEC since 2013 in our TASS (Teaching All Secondary Students) programs as consultant, instructor and program coordinator.

Wendy began her career in education as a middle school teacher of Language Arts, Science, Geography and History.  She then worked with the Vemont Institutes focusing on the Visual & Performance Arts.  Since 2004 Wendy has worked with a number of entities across the northeast as a consultant, facilitator, instructor, presenter and coordinator.

She has expertise in a variety of areas including: Standards-Based Learning Design & Assessment, Critical Friends, Building & Sustaining Leadership, Collaborative Learning Culture, Personalizing Learning, Action Planning and Program Evaluation. She spent the last year working in a leadership position in Addison County focusing on school improvement and the work of curriculum coordination.
